The last January weekend will be dedicated to ice art at the Harfa Gallery in Prague. The Festival of Ice Sculptures will be held here traditionally, for the year 2018, the organizers chose the theme of the world's big city. Do you want to know how experienced sculptors will deal with the pitfalls of New York's high-rise buildings or the romantic mood of Paris? Are you wondering whether they will go beyond the borders of the European and American continents? Among the exhibits is also the hundred-eyed mother of Prague?
The Ice Sculpture Festival will take place this year for the seventh time on the roof of the Harfa Gallery. In previous years, we were able to see the portraits of Czech and world statesmen, successful athletes or icons of the Winter Olympics. There were also animals from the polar zoo or favorite figures from Czech evening.
This year, for the first time, ice sculptors have to deal with the display of non-living objects. On the roof of the Harp Gallery you will find all the panoramas of famous cities and unforgettable landmarks. Be surprised - you may see for the first time the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Big Ben in London or the Leaning Tower of Pisa. All in one place in a single moment. When are you still lucky ?!
An unforgettable experience is the very creation of ice sculptures. You can take a look at the field at your fingertips and watch the ice change into a piece of art. And then join the vote on the most beautiful statue; maybe the one you will enjoy most will win. The winning exhibits will be presented on Sunday afternoon.
Lovers of active movement can still enjoy the tour of the festival. Just skip skating on the nearby AR ARENA skating rink and pass the culture of some sport.
