Baby crying during vaccination? Do not worry about him!

The tears in the eyes of the child roar every parent of the heart. Vaccination for babies is a situation that crying often accompanies. How to avoid him, or at least calm him down as fast as possible?

The first injection with which the little guy meets a pediatrician is a so-called hexavacin. It is a vaccine that protects 6 diseases at the same time (diphtheria, tetanus, black cough, infections caused by Haemophilus influenzae virus, B-type jaundice and polio). The great advantage is that the baby gets only one injection instead of 6 single injections. The experience of the first vaccination may not be pleasant either for a baby or for a parent. But thanks to the hexavacine, which is a "6 in 1" vaccine, you save not only a lot of visits to your doctor but also tears to your baby.

What about side effects?

Vaccines are generally very safe. Vaccination against six diseases at one and the same time does not pose an increased burden on the body. Possible side effects include the most common:
swelling or redness at the injection site,
restlessness and crying,
elevated temperature to fever.

These inconveniences usually disappear within a few days. But the protection that a child will acquire against six dangerous diseases is an advantage to him.

Five Steps to Soothe Crying

According to the experience of experts and many mothers, it will often help to try the following few tips.
Immediately after administration of the vaccine, wrap the baby in diapers (or before being vaccinated with a blanket, leave the legs outside to have a doctor inject the thigh).
Place it on your side or on your tummy.
Make your baby calm in a quiet voice.
Dump him in his arms.
Give him a drink (either from his or her breast or bottle) or put a pacifier in his cuff.

These research recommendations help 4 out of 5 children significantly reduce the amount of baby crying after vaccination. You can also help your baby to massage gently before and after the injection. It is also important not to act as a parent nervously and anxiously. The child senses your emotions and your restlessness can be transferred to him.
