The concert of the charming singer Caro Emerald will take place in Prague on February 19 in the Karlín Forum, in the framework of its world tour, which is called Emerald Island Tour.
The style of Caro Emerald blends smart pop, swing and dance jazz, meets animal tango and Latin, ska, dub step, funk and hip hop. The singer won her native Holland and Michael Jackson, her debut album Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor surpassed her longtime Thriller record and was in the forefront of sales in the Netherlands barely believable for 27 weeks. This meant the successful start of a worldwide career. Last year, in the UK, she sold 150,000 tickets for 90 concerts, which earned her the prestigious UK Live Award this year, sold out concerts throughout Europe, the US, Japan, and also in South Korea. Caro Emerald has already mocked such iconic halls as London's Royal Albert Hall, Olympia in Paris, Amsterdam's Paradiso, or Berlin Olympiahalle.
Sultry voice, sex appeal and charisma are the cognitive signs of this singer, whose music is an arc between the tradition of the last century and the present. She has surrounded herself with great instrumentalists and understands fine electronics with the atmosphere of 30's and 40's of the 20th century or Paris cabarets. That's probably why many fans and some critics compare it to British Adele or Amy Winehouse. Fans often compare it to a popular, similarly spontaneous Zaz, and fans of fashionable electroswings admit that energy and hurtfulness often outweigh somewhat chemical sound and the show of our favorite Parov Stelar from Austria. Caro Emerald is original and her audience loves it all over the world. Caro Emerald was also one of the main stars of the Colors Of Ostrava festival, where it first appeared in the Czech Republic. In the Czech Republic he will introduce himself to a big band.
Barbora Vaculikova is not such an unknown singer. Natural talent has given Bara his well-known mother and has been using him for a long time in various follow-up projects. Her main work is in the Yellow Sisters singer quartet, which has released seven albums and has won several international awards. Bara also sings in Mateřská.com project, which has seen much attention to a million views on YouTube clip Lactation psychosis. The Maters.com project was aimed at changing the newly-matched mothers who want to combine singing ambitions with maternity duties. Bara made her solo project under her new pseudonym, Diva Baar, and tells herself about the life and feelings of women. Her debut CD was released last autumn at Supraphon in co-production with the Transitory.
