Omega-3 fatty acids are substances that our body can not produce itself. We have to accept them from food. Types of omega-3 fatty acids are several. DHA and EPA have been shown to be most effective in lowering cholesterol levels and preventing heart and vessel diseases. They are commonly found in fat sea fish and nuts. There are also many fish oil products with a fixed amount of DHA and EPA. They deliver the required amount of omega-3 acids every day.
The right balance
The ideal distribution of blood fats is very important. In poor proportions of fats that circulate in our blood, arteries begin to form, high blood pressure and damage to various organs, including the heart and brain. It mainly damages "bad" LDL cholesterol and triglycerides. "Good" HDL cholesterol helps, so it's an effort to increase it. The omega-3 fatty acids apply:
at high doses (2-4 g) lower triglyceride levels by 25-45%, but are also effective in lesser amounts,
they work best in combination with a balanced and healthy diet,
of food supplements with omega-3 fatty acids benefit most people with high triglyceride levels,
increase the "good" HDL cholesterol level and increase the "bad" LDL cholesterol particles - these are less harmful in this form.
Blood fats do not stop there
In addition to the positive effect on the composition of blood lipids, omega-3 fatty acids also have a number of other health benefits.
They help maintain normal heart rhythm. Heart rhythm disorders are one of the most common causes of death.
They improve blood vessel function.
They reduce heart rate and high blood pressure.
They reduce the risk of sudden death in patients with heart disease.
Stock the body
Blood fat levels can be affected in different ways. One of these is omega-3 fatty acids. They have a beneficial effect on the health of the heart and blood vessels, the brain or the eyes. For a sufficient intake of omega-3 fatty acids, you should consume fatty seafood 2-3 times a week. If you do not, consider using food supplements with fish oil. When choosing, take particular care of DHA and EPA.
