"The exhibition presents the development of the Medical Faculty of the founding of Charles IV. the present. He pays attention to both institutional history and the tradition of teaching medicine in Prague. Also included is a unique gallery of historical portraits of deans, which have their origin in the same period. This is all within the context of contemporary medical instruments, demonstrating the level of medicine in the 16th century to the present, "says exhibition curator Doc. Mgr. Charles Black, Ph.D., Head of the Department of History of Medicine and Foreign Languages 1st Faculty of Medicine.
Visitors will be able to see excerpts from old textbooks, historical medical instruments and unique teaching models, period diplomas and certificates. The attractions include mock portal door the Medical college almost life-size. On display are also historical photos of today's 1st Medical Faculty and General Teaching Hospital. Visitors can also follow the emergence and development of many medical disciplines and architectural attractions of buildings that belonged or belongs to the 1st Medical Faculty of Charles University.
The exhibition will be open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10.00 to 18.00.
