George Solomon, born. By 1935, the years 1952 to 1962 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and the Hochschule für Graphik und Buchkunst in Leipzig. His work includes nearly a hundred illustrated books, a similar number of prints, film, theater and exhibition posters, many graphics editing, and finally a series of cartoons, one of which became the most popular fairy tale about life Maxipes Fík (1976), later elaborated in several books. From 1990 to 2003 he headed the studio of illustration and graphics at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, in 1992 he was appointed professor. As a visiting professor he worked in the nineties at the Summer Academy in Salzburg, founded Oskar Kokoschka and at the Academy in Miami, USA. He lives in Prague's Vinohrady.
