Olympians in Korea make "Raškovky"

Czech Olympians will be inspired by Jiri Raška's legacy in the games in South Pyongyang. Each of the representatives will receive "Raškovku", a cap inspired by the legendary gullet, in which the ski jumper won the first Czech gold medal at the Winter Olympics in 1968 in Grenoble. Cap can now buy fans as well.

Exactly three months to the start of the Olympics in Korea, the cap was handed over to Czech sports figures Jan Mazoch, Raškův grandson, also a former elite frog. In Prague Petrin, for example, double skier world champion Tomas Kraus, double Olympic champion Martin Doktor, Olympic champion winner Miroslava Topinková Knapková and others.

"Grandpa would be happy about it. He was an extraordinarily inspiring person. I am pleased that the cap, which brought the first gold medal for Czechoslovakia, will be part of the Olympic collection in the improved version. I believe that sportsmen will bring happiness just like a grandfather 50 years ago, "
said Jan Mazoch.

Caps for athletes and fans

In Czechoslovakia, Czech fans will also play in Raškovec. By purchasing it, they will contribute to the good thing at the Czech Olympic Foundation, which supports children from socially disadvantaged families in sport. Raškovka is part of the Olympic collection designed by the Czech company ALPINE PRO. The entire Olympic collection will be officially launched on November 20th.

In February 2018, fifty years will elapse from the moment Ota Pavel has so graciously described in the Fairytale of Raška . Ski jumper Jiří Raška has written indelibly in Czech sport history in Grenoble, France. Czechoslovakia brought the first gold medal from the Winter Olympics.

A member of the famous Remsa Boys flashed in Grenoble in 1968, jumping 79 meters on the middle jumps in the first round, 72.5 meters in the second round and becoming the first Czech winner at the Winter Olympics in history . In Grenoble, he won silver on the big bridge. Not only thanks to this he became a unique figure of Czech and Czechoslovak skiing, winner of the survey of the best skier of the whole 20th century.
