1. Diabetes
Obesity is one of the main causes of Type 2 diabetes. Increased body fat reduces the body's insulin sensitivity (leads to so-called insulin resistance) while destroying the pancreas. The way the body treats blood sugar is disturbed and diabetes is produced. Loss can significantly improve or even cure this disease - but not every time. Preventing it by keeping your weight is always better.
2. Heart and vessel diseases
Overweight is associated with higher blood pressure and a poor ratio of "good" and "bad" cholesterol. At the same time, the inflammation in the organism is easier. All this is involved in the occurrence of an extremely common, infamous arterial disease called atherosclerosis. Its consequences are unprecedented - from chest and foot pains that prevent walking to heart attacks and strokes.
3. Tumors
In women, obesity is associated with an increased risk of developing many tumors, such as breast, colon, gall bladder or uterine cancer. In men, the threat of the onset of malignant growth in the prostate and the large intestine increases.
4. Arthrosis
Excessive pounds mean weight for joints, especially hips and knees. The joints are damaged even during normal walking, and over time the changes to the cartilage and surrounding bones can be very painful and restrict the person in motion. Surgical replacement for artificial replacements is often difficult for obese people.
5. Bad sleep
Fat in the area of the face and neck often causes trouble breathing in sleep. In the so-called sleep apnea syndrome, the resting person repeatedly clogs the upper airways. This prevents him from falling into a deep, refreshing sleep. You may not be aware of the difficulties at all. However, the syndrome has serious implications for the life and health of the person concerned. Night snoring and breathlessness, morning feelings of "ruin" and great daytime fatigue are the main symptoms. Do not hesitate to call them doctors.
6. Psychological problems
Did you know that obese people more often suffer from depression and other mental illnesses? To a large extent it can be explained by overweight social view. In addition, Kila is not in fashion and often leads to ridicule, discrimination, job search problems, or a partner. Sadness and frustration are then a natural reaction. Partly, however, changes in the excess fatty tissue in their bodies may be behind the psychological problems of the obese.
7. Fertility
Obese women often suffer from so-called polycystic ovary syndrome. With it, testosterone over the female hormones will prevail in the body, the woman stops menstruating and becomes infertile. In addition, testosterone may lead to other body changes, such as acne or increased hair. Obesity also affects male fertility: the quality of sperm decreases, the risk of total infertility and the problems of erection and sexual intercourse in general.
