The festival, however, as always, does not neglect the most interesting achievements of Czech music scene or original international projects. The next week, the festival will offer a unique combination of Central, Northern and African elements. Joe Lovano traditionally embarking on bold conceptual and thematic projects and excels both in finding novel ways of artistic expression and new ways of redefining jazz idiom. Nordic thread of the evening will follow a progressive saxophonist Marius Neset. Neset was born in Norway but now lives in Copenhagen. His previous albums and velkokapelový project with the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra under the name Lion shown that young saxophonist is on its way to become one of the largest emerging jazz stars. At the beginning of 2015 once again delivered highly acclaimed album Pinball, which will form a crucial part of the Brno festival performances.
April part of the festival will offer concerts, among others Poogieho Bella drummer, pianist Beata Hlavenková, Concept Art Orchestra big band or jazz legends Czech evening with guest Peter Lipa.
