From 30 September to 2 October conference at the National Technical Museum in Prague organized by the Club of collectors of playing cards. Meet at the 120 collectors and scholars from around the world. "It's the first time that such an event takes place east of Berlin. The aim of the conference is to promote general awareness of the cards and their history. And in connection with cards also familiar with Czech history, "said Peter White, the conference organizer, the organizer of exhibitions and collector cards. This expert card history in their research in the museum's depositories discovered a hitherto unknown author, who in times of national revival created Czech graphic design of cards for a game called Trappola. The once popular game - also known under the Czech name wen - is with us now almost forgotten, is still alive but in Italy for example. In his collection one of the largest in Europe, has over 3,000 white decks of playing cards and unloading. He collects them since she was sixteen.
Collectors Club of playing cards, which is chaired by Peter White, the conference takes the Historical Association Award for promoting the production history of playing cards. Club here more than twenty years, the public is now forgotten craft. Card games also shows a specific manifestation of applied graphics, which also dealt with a number of prominent visual artists headed by Mikolas Ales Zdenek Mézl and others.

The first of the exhibitions entitled Voko takes - no matter where dude - Unique kartářského crafts in the Czech Lands runs until November 20 in the Central Bohemian Museum in Roztoky. "Its scope is one of the largest exhibitions of playing cards that have been with us ever organized. The depth of their orientation, then certainly the most important, "says White, from whose collection the first time in the Czech Republic exhibiting a collection of little-known games Hammer and bell. At the exhibition are also cards from the collections of the National Library of the 16th and 17th centuries from Martina Meltznera and Hans Schneck, or those that are found only a few years ago in the reconstruction of the Vladislav Hall at Prague Castle: "Playing cards" there were hidden under the wooden floor. Central Bohemian Museum in Roztoky is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 10 to 18 hours.
At the exhibition "Art Cards" being held from 22 September to 22 November in Prague palace passage YMCA admission is free: there is open daily from 8-22 hours. The display will include graphics prominent Czech artists, almost half of the exhibition will focus on the movie poster with the card motif.
