Omerzu Olmo, talented director of Slovenian origin, he studied at FAMU, his graduation film A Night Too Young had international success - was inducted into the prestigious Forum section at the Berlinale 2012. In the same year also won the Prize for the discovery of RWE awarded within the Czech Film Critics' Awards .
Family film that attracted attention in 2012 for a presentation of upcoming projects Pitch & Feedback in Carlsbad, originated in extensive international co-production of the Czech Republic, France, Slovenia, Germany and Slovakia. In San Sebastian, will compete in the New Directors section, which appears regularly talented young directors and director. The main prize this program, which provides first and second films before their official distribution premiere is 50 000 EUR. The prize is awarded partner Kutxabank festival director and film distributor in Spain.
"Family film is very different from my previous film and putting it in the New Directors section of San Sebastian for me is the culmination of several years of work on it and some confirmation of what I'm doing. I hope the festival as San Sebastian, as in the case of a young Too night Berlinale, opens the way to a family film audiences in other countries with us, "says Olmo Omerzu.
"I consider it a success that co-produced five European countries could develop a film that takes place in Prague, Czech, and a full cast. And I am very glad that a family film in a foreign interest and also looking forward to presenting his Czech audience, "says film producer Jiri Konecny.
The last success was the Czech film in San Sebastian 10 years ago, when it was shown film Happiness by Bohdan Slama. He won the main prize, the Golden Shell, and the jury also awarded Ania Geislerová Silver Shell for Best Actress.
