Prestigious music festival JazzFest Brno starts the 4th April in theater Reduta double concerto virtuosního American pianist Craig Taborna a joint project of the household Morning Walks Martin Brunner Trio and quartet Epoque.
Festival, which this year has a varied concert experience to 30 April every year an exceptional concentration of names from abroad and from the domestic scene, long maps almost infinite variety of contemporary jazz and gives space for its variety of stylish faces.
The full program during the month of April will offer a duo Scott Robinson and Emil Viklický, excellent Argentinean saxophonist Javier Girotto at Pigeon saxophone quartet, extroverted Ondřej Pivec, an American band Trio of OZ arranger and pianist Rachel Z and phenomenal drummer Omar Hakim and. The established jazz festival will also feature the Indo-American guitarist Rez Abbasi at Rudreshe Mahanthappy saxophonist, Dan Barta and Robert Balzar Trio, Israeli pianist and former longtime teammate Avishai Cohen, Shai Maestro and exquisite British saxophonist Will Vinson with New York band. Organizers also plan to exclusive festival project delicious Italian singer Roberta Gambarini Radio Orchestra with Gustav Brom.
In addition to performances by international stars festival offers traditional club concerts. Clubs will host both the representatives of the Czech music scene as well as representatives of European progressive jazz. Popular jam sessions are organized since the beginning of history, an integral part of the festival, and will do so in the twelfth grade.
The series premiere multi-day workshops leading foreign artists on soil Janáček Academy of Performing Arts, which recently launched Department of jazz interpretation is an educational partner of the festival.
